How can I protect my privacy?

You can customize your privacy settings from the Privacy page. From here you have total control over who can view all of your content. Please note that, at most, only your friends, their friends and the people on your networks can see your profile. If you want to adjust who can find you in searches and what they can see or do with your search result, just edit the settings for your Search Privacy.

Finally, you can use the Block feature to end all interactions with a user on Facebook Arabia by entering their name in the "Block People" box. Once you find them in the search, click the "Block Person" link to the right of their name. They will no longer be able to find you using Facebook Arabia

How can I control who can see my profile?

By default, only users within your networks and your confirmed friends can view your profile. You can adjust who can view your profile, however, by following these steps:

1. Please go to the Privacy page. 2. On the following page click "Profile." 3. The main setting, entitled "Profile," will allow you to customize who can view your profile page.

On the most private setting, "Only Friends," only users who are your confirmed friends will be able to view your profile. If you want to have a very private profile this is a good setting to use. However, keep in mind that people that are not friends with you will have trouble identifying you.

Can others know when I view their profiles?

Facebook Arabia currently does not provide an application that allows users to track profile views or statistics on the views of any specific user content. Third party developers, however, may offer applications that provide some of this functionality. Please keep a few things in mind for these applications:

Applications CANNOT track profile visits for users who simply go to another person's profile; Facebook Arabia has made this technically impossible . In order to be tracked by an application, you will need to specifically agree to allow the application to track your actions. Adding an application that provides this functionality is purely optional. If you do not want to participate, please do not add the application to your account.

What happens when I block someone?
A block prevents specific people from viewing your profile. Any ties you currently have with the people you block will be broken (friendship connections, Friend Details, etc). Your profile will not be visible to them and you will not appear in their search results or Friend Lists. Removing the block will not restore the connection. You will also need to request to be their friend once again.
I need to report someone for violating Facebook’s Terms of Use. Please navigate to the content in question and use the Report link associated with the specific content to file a report with Facebook. If you are unable to do so, please send us the relevant information to process the report I want to permanently delete my account.
If you deactivate your account from the "Deactivate Account" section on the Account page, your profile and all information associated with it are immediately made inaccessible to other Facebook Arabia users. What this means is that you effectively disappear from the Facebook service. However, we do save your profile information (friends, photos, interests, etc.), so if you want to reactivate at some point, your account will look just the way it did when you deactivated.
